Unclog Toilet

Hi everyone, welcome back to Happi Plumbing Channel. Today we’d like to share an interesting case.

Problem:
A large object was stuck in the toilet, causing a blockage.
The customer believed that the head of a toilet brush had fallen into the toilet and blocked it.

Solution:

For normal toilet clogs, we usually use a toilet auger to clear the blockage.

However, for larger objects, pushing them further down the drain is not a good idea—it can make the blockage worse.

So in this case, we removed the toilet and cleared it from the opposite direction to push the object back out.

Step 1

Drain the water from the tank.
Use a plunger to push out remaining water, or a wet vacuum to remove it.
Then apply LiquiLock powder to solidify any remaining water in the bowl.
This prevents dirty water from spilling during removal.

Step 2

Disconnect the water supply line, remove the mounting nuts, and carefully move the toilet outside.

Step 3

Clear the blockage from the reverse side.
In this case, no solid object came out.
After further communication with the customer, we confirmed that the blockage was likely caused by excessive tissue paper used by a child, not a toilet brush head.

Step 4

Reinstall the toilet.
After testing, the toilet was flushing normally again.

Unclogging a toilet can be easy, or it can be tricky—it all depends on what’s causing the problem.
With the right tools and the right approach, even complicated clogs can be solved efficiently. Whenever you need help, we are here for you.
