Pizzeria Gas Line

In case you didn’t know yet, we also do gas lines- and we love it! This project is on a time crunch, and although we prefer to use threaded gas fittings, we used press fittings to speed up the process. We started from the meter, ran the pipe on to the roof, set pipe supports along the way, tee’d off to the heater location, tee’d off to the water heater location, and ran the pipe back down and inside through the wall.

Inside, we hung our horizontal gas pipe on “swivel hangers”, dropped down for a future “ansul” valve, then dropped down into the wall towards the range outlet, secured the pipe with “split ring” hangers, brought the pipe out of the wall and secured it to the ground. We added a drip leg and 3 outlets. Then we labeled the whole pipe, inside and outside, and pressurized it to 20 psi.

Next day, inspector stopped by, and had no concerns with our work!
